Most booked trip of the season

Spiti Valley Circuit

Manali to Kaza over Kunzum Pass, then out through Kinnaur — the full loop rather than the there-and-back most operators sell. Chandratal, Key Monastery, Langza, Hikkim and the Chicham bridge, with two acclimatisation nights built in so the altitude does not flatten you on day three.

Prices shown are starting rates per person on twin sharing. The final figure depends on your travel month, hotel category and group size — peak season and the December snow weeks run higher. Message us with your dates and we will give you a firm number.

Why choose Snowline Expedition

Plenty of agencies will sell you a Manali trip. Very few of them are actually in Manali when something goes wrong at 4,000 metres.

We live here

Our office is in Manali, not a call centre in another state. When a pass closes or weather turns, someone local is already rerouting you.

Our own vehicles and drivers

No last-minute subcontracting to whoever is free. The same drivers work our routes every season and know where the road gives way after rain.

Support for the whole trip

One number, answered at any hour you are on the road with us. Not a ticket queue and not a bot.

Altitude taken seriously

Acclimatisation nights are built into every high-altitude itinerary. We would rather lose the booking than push you to Kaza on day two.

The quote is the price

Permits, tolls, driver allowance and parking are in the number we give you. Nothing appears at the end of the trip.

Built around your dates

Tell us how many days you have and what you want to see. Every package on this site started as somebody's custom request.

What travellers say

We got stuck at Batal when the road washed out. Snowline had us in a homestay within two hours and rebuilt the rest of the itinerary overnight. Nobody charged us extra for any of it.
Ritika SharmaSpiti Circuit, September
Booked from Chennai and was nervous about paying an agency I'd only spoken to on WhatsApp. They sent the driver's number three days ahead and he was waiting at the bus stand at 6am.
Arun VenkateshManali & Solang, December
My mother is 68 and I'd been told Rohtang would be too much for her. They planned it so we went up slowly with a night at Sissu first. She managed the whole day.

Planning a trip to Manali

The questions we answer most often on WhatsApp, in case they save you a message.

What is the best time to visit Manali?

Manali is worth visiting all year, but what you can reach changes completely by season. December to February gives you snow at Solang and the best chance of playing in it. March to June is the busiest stretch, with Rohtang and the high passes opening somewhere between April and June. July and August bring monsoon rain and landslide risk on the higher roads. September and October are the quietest and clearest months, and the last window for Spiti and Chandratal before the passes shut.

How many days do I need in Manali?

Three days covers Manali town, Solang Valley and a run through the Atal Tunnel. Four to five days lets you add Rohtang or a night in Lahaul. Spiti Valley needs seven, and Manali to Leh needs eight. Trying to compress a high-altitude trip into fewer days is the single most common mistake we talk people out of.

Do I need a permit for Rohtang Pass or Spiti Valley?

Rohtang Pass is permit-controlled, with a fixed number of vehicles allowed each day and applications made in advance with vehicle and driver details. We arrange this for any package that includes it. For the main Spiti circuit, Indian nationals need no permit; foreign nationals need an inner line permit for the Sumdo to Tabo stretch, which we also handle.

How do I get to Manali?

Overnight Volvo buses run from Delhi and Chandigarh and take twelve to fourteen hours. The nearest airport is Bhuntar, about fifty kilometres away, though flights there are frequently cancelled in bad weather; many people fly to Chandigarh instead and drive up. We can arrange bus seats or a private cab as part of your package.

Is Manali safe and suitable for families and older travellers?

Yes for the valley itself, which sits at a comfortable 2,050 metres. Altitude only becomes a real consideration above roughly 3,500 metres, so Rohtang, Chandratal, Spiti and Leh need more care. Tell us the ages and any heart or lung conditions when you enquire and we will pace the itinerary around them.

How do I book, and what deposit do you take?

Message us on WhatsApp with your dates and group size. We send a written itinerary and a firm price, then take thirty per cent by bank transfer or UPI to confirm, with the balance payable on arrival in Manali. You get your driver's name and number before you travel.
